On behalf of the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans, I welcome to the 7th Annual Critical Commodities Conference.
This year’s conference promises to be the best yet. We’ve assembled a dynamic roster of speakers to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the transportation of commodities during the current and future global economic climate. This three-day event has grown to be the premier conference focused on the efficient transportation of energy, food products, steel, raw materials and building materials. There are also plenty of networking opportunities to see old friends and to make new ones.
And while you’re here, take some time to see the sights and sounds of New Orleans. Enjoy the French Quarter, our museums, antique shops and, of course, our restaurants. Stay a little later this week and enjoy the Annual French Quarter Festival – the largest free music festival in the south with more than 800 local musicians and 65 of the City’s finest restaurants.
Welcome back to New Orleans and enjoy the conference. Laissez le bons temps rouler!
